My house back in Ukiah, CA. It’s completely engulfed in smoke and under a State of Emergency. I’m sooo glad I’m sitting comfortably 3,000 miles away…
Special thanks to my old basketball coach who’s maintained the best coverage (the local news outlets have been patheticly incompetent) of the fires with his blog.
UPDATE: According to the Press Dem, there’s over 100 fires in my area burning over 20,000 acres and causing roughly $3 million in damages. Currently over 1500 firefighters battling the flames throught the county.
I know I’m embarrassingly late on this one, but this is more to keep for my own records. “Matt” released his newest video recently and it’s just as amazing as the other ones.
I got teary eyed for some reason. It’s just so refreshing to see people from all over the world so happy. Life is beautiful.

Fire in Ivory at GWU!
OK, false alarm… but the fire escape stairs were jammed as several thousand disgrunteled, sleepwalking/textmessaging, college kids just poured out into the streets of Foggy Bottom at 2am. I just walked down, and then back up, 10 flights of stairs. Fun! (whoever pulled that alarm better watch out)
